Digital Memorial
Each Earthbound memorial includes a private digital memorial page, designed to preserve a person’s life in a clear and considered way.
It brings together photographs, memories, voice, and film – not a collection of posts, but a life story.
Every life has it's own story
Each life is different, and the way it is remembered should reflect that.
The memorial is set out as a structured account of a person’s life, with different page styles that shape how their story is told.
A place to return to
The memorial page is designed as a place that can be returned to at any time.
Family and friends can contribute:
- written memories
- photographs
- voice notes
These contributions sit within the memorial itself, rather than being dispersed across different places or platforms.
Messages can also be shared within the memorial, allowing family and friends to remain connected in one place.
There is no set limit to what can be added, allowing the memorial to grow over time.
A life, set out clearly
The memorial is set out as a structured account of a person’s life, rather than a simple chronological record.
Memories, images, and recordings can be placed within different stages of a life journey.
Family and friends can add to existing memories, building a fuller picture through shared detail and perspective.
Over time, this builds a more complete picture of a life lived, guided by those who knew them best.
Voice, image, and film
The memorial can include:
- a chosen piece of music
- voice recordings from the person remembered, or from family and friends
- a short film created from photographs and memories
This film can be updated over time, reflecting new additions as the memorial develops.
Linked to the living memorial
The memorial page is linked to the living memorial tree.
This allows family and friends to see how the tree is growing and changing over time, wherever they are.
The tree, the memories, and life story are held together as one memorial.
Connected across generations
Memorials can be shared with family and friends and, where appropriate, linked together.
Pages belonging to different members of the same family can be linked to form a visual and interactive family tree of lives and relationships.
Over time, this becomes a wider family history that can be explored and revisited – not only to understand the person remembered, but the people and connections around them.
Shaped over time
The memorial is not fixed at the point it is created.
It can be returned to and added to gradually.
What begins as a small collection of memories becomes a more complete account of a life.
Over time, it can sit alongside other memorials within a wider family history, connected through shared relationships.
