Collecting the Ashes
The Concern:
Families can feel unprepared for the moment when they are asked to collect the ashes from the crematorium. The process can feel abrupt, and the ashes are often presented in a temporary container that does not reflect the significance of the person they represent.
How Earthbound Helps:
Earthbound can arrange the collection of the cremated remains directly from the crematorium on your behalf.
The ashes are then prepared as part of the memorial itself, meaning families receive a living tribute rather than a temporary container.
Handling Cremated Remains
The Concern: Some families feel uncomfortable handling cremated remains.
How Earthbound helps:
A portion of cremated remains are infused with specially treated soil to support the growth of the tree. The soil and the tree are planted in a growing pot that can be lifted out of its delivery packaging and directly into a plant pot. There is no need to touch the soil, either at this stage or during repotting process.
The remaining ashes are carefully contained and permanently sealed within the hidden foundation, stored at the base of the memorial. `
Families do not need to handle the ashes directly.

Each Earthbound memorial includes a private digital memorial page where family members can share photographs, music, and written memories.
Over time, the page becomes a shared memory book, connected to the living memorial tree.
