When the Christmas Do Turned Into a Proud Moment

There are work Christmas dos… and then there are those moments that catch you completely off guard.

Ours started with a great meal, plenty of laughs, and then moved on to drinks in the pub afterwards — with the TV on quietly in the background. At some point during the evening, the World Darts Championship popped up on screen. Not exactly unusual for December… until we really looked.

There they were. The PDC dancers. In those outfits.

Designs Alike Work on the PDC Stage

Cue a collective pause, a few pointed fingers at the TV, and a very proud realisation: we made those.

It’s not every day you spot your own work on national television. Suddenly the darts had everyone’s full attention. Seeing the dancers take to the stage wearing costumes that our team had designed and manufactured was one of those unexpected “wow” moments — especially when it happened in such a relaxed, celebratory setting. It’s one thing to know your work is out there; it’s another to stumble across it mid-Christmas-do and feel that surge of pride together as a team.

The PDC stage is big, bold, high-energy and broadcast to millions, and the dancers bring so much of that atmosphere to life. Knowing we’ve played a part in that — right down to the fit, comfort and freedom of movement of the hotpants and crop tops — never gets old.

This blog isn’t about telling the full story (we’ve already done that elsewhere 😉), but about capturing one of those moments that reminds us why we do what we do. Seeing our work out in the world, doing exactly what it’s meant to do, and sharing that feeling as a team.
Not a bad way to kick off the festive season.
