In the event, however, it was no touche and all go, as the blue sky in the picture below amply demonstrates.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f62599c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f62599c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>And the weather played a significant role in determining the match format, as the tournament was just 7 days away from the start of meteorological winter\u00a0on 1 December,\u00a0and the country had just undergo a cold snap.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Against the backcloth of the above,\u00a0it was decided to\u00a0base each of the four matches on\u00a0a 30 minute time frame and\u00a0not on the number of games played.\u00a0And so\u00a0it\u00a0was out with the whistles to mark the start of eachmatch and,\u00a030 mins\u00a0later, out with the whistles again to mark\u00a0the end.\u00a0In this way a swift transition between each of the four matches\u00a0was assured.<\/p>\n<p>And the highest scoring members were:\u00a0Stephen Reynoldson and Nigel Kirkby, the Men\u2019s runners-up,\u00a0Annette Footman-Williams, the Ladies winner, Ann, the main tournament organiser, Ross McInally, the Men\u2019s winner and Liv Fox, the Ladies runner-up.<\/p>\n<p>As is quite commonly the case in our social tournaments it was great to see new faces among the winners\/runners-up in Ross McInally and Liv Fox.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Our thanks to all who participated and particularly to Ann for her inspired tournament organisation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"vamtam-has-theme-widget-styles elementor-element elementor-element-6610f51 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6610f51\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Next Social Event<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-34c2198 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"34c2198\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOur next social tennis event is the\u00a0Mulled Wine\u00a0and\u00a0Mince Pies\u00a0tournament on\u00a0Friday, 5th\u00a0December from 7pm\u00a0onwards.
