What do you need it for?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
There is no denying that an ebike is expensive and doing research before you make that commitment is very important. Making sure you have a bike for your needs is so important, so ensure you know what you want from it before spending a lot of money.<\/p>\n\n\n\nBefore buying – write a list of what you want it for<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Consider what you can afford<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The cost of some ebikes is the price of a small car and you wouldn’t just buy one of those on a whim. Making a list of what you would use an ebike for is the starting point. Be realistic with your list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are not going to be doing downhill, single track riding, then would your really need a full suspension bike? <\/li>\n\n\n\n
Are you going to be using it round a town for shopping, perhaps with a trailor for your kids or you dog? Would a city bike be the best choice?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Would you prefer to ride on signposted bike paths, forest roads and something a little more challenging on hills? Then would a mid drive hardtail be the best choice for you?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Do your research<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Whatever you decide, take your time. Don’t go for a bike because you like the colour (which would probably be my first choice!). It really needs to meet your requirements, so make that list of why you want an ebike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take your list to a local bike shop and speak to an ebike expert to ask for their advice. Go on line and watch videos from the experts at EMBN.com as they know what they are talking about. You can also send them questions. There are also a few online forums where you can ask questions and gain information on the different types. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
DON’T be lured into buying an ebike which is outwith your budget. You will just end up with a very expensive ride around. Watch this video as a starting point before you consider buying an ebike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a great line in this video which says whether your ebike is \u20ac2000 or \u20ac10000 you will get the same level of assistance. The differnce in price is about the materials being used on the frame. Keep that in mind as to why you want an ebike in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
